FUEL SCARCITY: BUHARI, APC WRECKING THE ECONOMY- PDP
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has said the failure of the administration headed by President Muhammadu Buhari to find a lasting solution to the The fuel crisis in the country has ruined the nation’s economy.
This is just when the party criticized the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, for his proposals to exchange the nation’s resources for other interests under misleading subsidy agreements.
The PDP in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan on Sunday, also expressed his sadness that President Buhari had refused to pay attention to wise advice from Nigerians to resign as Minister of Petroleum and allow to the competent hands to effectively manage the sector,
Adding that his rebuff has left the country with no hope of finding any solution to the current fuel crisis and the hardship that this entails for Nigerians.
“It is now clear to everyone that the APC government led by President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to destroy the nation.”
Instead of decreasing, the situation gets worse with the administration of APC, which on December 6, 2017 promised to put end to the fuel crisis in a week.
“What is more frightening are the heinous proposals of the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, which amount to exchanging the resources of the nation for mercy and the vagaries of international interests through questionable subsidy schemes that are completely contrary to the national interest.
“This same minister who denied that there are plans to increase the price of fuel is also planning an indirect hike through an evil price modulation plan” where NNPC will be allowed to continue selling at N145 per liter in its few mega stations across the country, while independent marketers should be allowed to sell at any price that is profitable for them at all their points of sale. ”
According to the PDP, “it is now clear to everyone that the APC government is only being perfidious with our oil sector, particularly in its promise not to increase fuel prices.”
We all know that there are very few NNPC stations and that the Most of those stations will not even have the products, what this means is that after ruining the system,
The APC administration is now contemplating delivering Nigerians to the indescribable whims of independent vendors, while trying to cover a grim scheme of subsidies through of which billions of naira are wasted daily under their surveillance.
“This proposal will leave our economy, which is already weakened by the incompetent and corrupt government of APC, completely in a coma and will result in more difficulties for the already impoverished poor.”
“With the poor purchasing power of the naira, also due to the bad policies of the APC government, any additional anti-popular policies will finally condemn our beloved nation.”
“Nigerians are now aware that the same government that boasts of zero tolerance for corruption has devoted itself to indescribable grafts,
including the incessant siphoning of our national resources through clandestine subsidy agreements,
The direct diversion of public funds in several sectors and the exhaustion of our foreign financial instruments, and this must stop.
